It was a bit striking how the here and now is actually a result of decisions made over the course of many years.

If anyone tells you that acting like Jesus is more important than your theology, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!   

The world is the Lord’s and everything in it. (Ps 24:1) Subsequently, things that we observe in nature can teach us about God. And as a part of that creation, we can learn things about ourselves as well.

In our ever-softening culture where silence is now violence and peaceful protest is considered oppression, it is good for the church to be reminded that language is a gift from God.  And like any other gift from the Creator, it is alway best to look to the source to discover its use and meaning. 

When the spring thaw finally comes, our cat Ozzie’s favorite thing to do is to go out on the front porch in the morning, and the back deck in the afternoon, to bask in the sunshine. 

Remember when the church influenced Hollywood rather than Hollywood influencing the church?  You may not be old enough to remember, but there was a time when there were no “Christian” movies and “secular” movies.  There were just - movies.

Marriage.  It’s a hotly contested institution.  But that’s really nothing new.  Anything ordained by God has been contested by Satan and his willing partners throughout history.
