The United States WAS Founded on Christian Principles by Christians

Americas Christian heritage is undeniable. The Declaration mentions God four times, and state constitutions reference Him over 200 times. Most founding fathers were devout Christians, not deists. John Adams declared, We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus.

Our Nation's Christian Foundation: Truth vs. Revisionist History

The dishonesty about America's founding rivals that of evolutionists - straight-up fabrications that ignore empirical evidence. While critics claim our nation wasn't founded on Christian principles, the founding documents tell a different story.

The Declaration of Independence mentions God four separate times as Creator and Law Giver. While some argue God isn't referenced in the Constitution, Article 7 specifically references "the Year of our Lord." Beyond federal documents, all 50 state constitutions mention God, totaling over 200 references.

The Founding Fathers' Faith

The common narrative that most founders were deists is demonstrably false. Of the 54 signers of the Declaration, 52 had written testimonies of Christian faith. These men knew signing meant potentially sacrificing everything - their property, businesses, families' safety - yet their convictions about God-given rights and liberty compelled them forward.

John Adams declared "We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus." He also stated "Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people; it is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story affirmed: "The beautiful boast of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the common law…there never has been a period in which the common law did not recognize Christianity as lying its foundations."

America's Gospel Purpose

The evidence shows America was founded to be God's catalyst for sharing the gospel globally. For generations, the U.S. led the world in sending missionaries, though this has declined in recent decades as the nation has turned from its foundations.

Contemporary Cultural Shifts

The current cultural climate increasingly rejects biblical truth. Recent examples include:

  • A teacher fired for teaching basic biology about chromosomes determining gender
  • Laws threatening imprisonment for using incorrect pronouns
  • Pride rallies openly declaring "We're coming for your kids"
  • Corporate entities pushing radical agendas

The Path Forward

For Christians seeking to preserve America's godly heritage:

  • Stand firmly on biblical truth
  • Study and share accurate history
  • Actively disciple others
  • Engage culturally with gospel truth
  • Remember God's sovereignty over nations

The founders acknowledged divine providence in establishing this nation. While America has flaws in its history, its Christian foundation is undeniable. The path to restoration begins with returning to these biblical principles that shaped the nation's beginning.

A Call to Action

As John Adams wrote to Abigail in 1776, July 4th should be celebrated "with solemn acts of Devotion to God Almighty." Today's citizens must choose whether to embrace historical truth and biblical principles or accept revisionist narratives that deny America's Christian heritage.

The evidence is clear - America was founded by Christians on Christian principles. The question is whether modern Americans will acknowledge and return to these foundations or continue down the path of secular progression away from them.
