The Coming Storm: Understanding Biblical Signs of the Last Days
In examining end times prophecy, we must approach the topic with honesty, authenticity and truth rather than speculation or sensationalism. Just as Jesus used the days of Noah as a parallel, there are clear biblical markers that indicate the approach of the last days.
The Acceleration of Sinfulness
Two key aspects mark the acceleration of sin in the last days:
Lack of Spiritual Separation
God calls His people to separate from worldly systems and false teaching (2 Corinthians 6:17-18). While we must show grace and welcome all, Scripture is clear that believers should not be "yoked with unbelievers." This doesn't mean legalistic isolation, but rather maintaining biblical standards while engaging culture with truth and love.
Lack of Spiritual Discernment
Genesis 6:5 describes Noah's time: "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Today, similar spiritual blindness prevails. As 2 Corinthians 4:4 explains, "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers."
The Coming Storm
Just as a green sky warns of an approaching severe storm, biblical signs indicate coming judgment. Matthew 24:44 warns: "Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
Recent developments point to gathering storms:
- The UN's new "Global Emergency Platform"
- The 2030 agenda linking digital IDs to social scores
- Growing restrictions on religious freedom
- Advancing global governance systems
Our Busy Savior
While judgment approaches, God remains actively working:
- He sees everything (Proverbs 15:3)
- Nothing is hidden from His sight (Hebrews 4:13)
- He neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4)
- He extends mercy even while planning judgment
The Call to Be Confident Spokespersons
Just as Noah preached for 120 years without converts, believers today must faithfully proclaim truth regardless of results. Our duty is simply to "go and tell." Whether through direct evangelism or supporting ministries that proclaim God's Word, we must participate in kingdom work while there is still time.
The Christian finds rest not in results but in fulfilling God's commands. Though the sky grows increasingly "green" with warning signs, believers need not fear because Christ remains our strong shelter. The key is staying faithful to our calling while trusting God with the outcomes.
In these last days, the lost world desperately needs to hear about Jesus Christ and salvation. Rather than anxiety about end times, believers should focus on doing what the Lord has commanded - sharing His truth and love until He returns.
